It all started when innovators LARQ had a simple vision; combine innovative technology with inspirational design to help people access pristine drinking water easily and sustainably.
Everyone wants to drink more water and use less plastic theses days, but as it stood at the time, existing reusable bottles did not make it easy. LARQ found that a million bottles every minute were being added to landfills around the world. That equates to over 480 billion every year – enough plastic to wrap around the earth’s equator more than twice. Clearly the existing reusable bottles were not converting enough people. And so began LARQ’s mission to offer ‘pure water from a self-cleaning bottle’….
…and that is exactly what they have done. The LARQ bottle is a reusable, rechargeable, insulated water bottle that cleans itself and the water you put inside it. With digital purification from UVC light, your water and bottle is purified at the touch of a button. It sounds a bit too good to be true, however the UV-C LED technology actually eradicates up to 99.9999%* of germs, bacteria, and protozoa, eliminating harmful and odor-causing sources!
