MAX Garment Technologist

Max’s journey into fashion started from a young age, having been fascinated by beautiful fabrics at his Grandfather’s clothing company to his apprenticeship for a tailor at Escada in his hometown of Munich.

After graduating in fashion and textiles in New York Max worked at a small luxury couture house gaining experience dressing the elite. Before joining the Crew à la Mode team, Max worked as garment technologist for leading brands such as Hobbs, L.K Bennett and Topshop, harnessing his superior fit skills.

Max is responsible for sourcing the finest fabrics from mills across the globe for the broad range of CALM by CREW garments and products. Max’s attention to detail is vital across the measuring and fitting of the garments, and always seeks to make improvements in the most elegant way possible. Whilst always a New Yorker at heart, Max’s love of travel has taken him to Japan, Thailand, China and most recently Israel. When in London Max practises hot yoga and walks.
